We invite you to visit the best sightseeings of the Lake Baykal & Pribaykalie. Your travelling will start in the old and beautiful siberian city Irkutsk.
 Then you will discover the full of old legends majestic Eastern Sayan Mountains in Buryatia,with its mineral springs and transarent mountain streams.
After that the Circumbaykal Railway (the old part of the Transsiberian railroad) is waiting for you with its424 engineering constructions and 39 tunnels, the total length of which is 8994 metres; about 200 bridges and 14 km of walls that supports the railway. The Circumbaykal train will get you to the “Gates of Baykal” – the town Listvyanka. Later you will be taken to the beautiful and legendary Island Olkhon.
 
The tour programm.
Day 1. Arrival of the group in the railway station or the airport of Irkutsk.
3 hour city tour (with breakfast or lunch). Irkutsk is one of the most beautiful cities of Russia with its historical buildings and wonderful churches.
Transfer to Arshan (about 230 km). You will enjoy mountain serpentine road passing pictueresque landscapes.
Accommodation.
Excursion to the waterfall of the mountain stream Kyngarga (the shaman’s drum). You will visit the local market with souvenires and local herbas.
Day 2. Breakfast at the hotel. Tour across the Tunkin Valley by car. You will visit the shamans’ ritual place “Takhmi-Baryasha”, the old health resort Nilova Pustyn’, the lamaist temple “Burkhan Baabay”. You will feel yourself newborn after having visited the mineral springs* in Zhemchug (Pearl). Great panoramic views of the Khamar-Daban ridge and the Tunkin Goltsy are waiting for you.
Dinner at the hotel.
*(The temperature of Arshan mineral springs differs from 11 - 13°C to 45°C. The waters are very rich in minerals and microelements, they are effective for drinking and used for treatments. The medicinal springs indications are the digestive and circulation organs diseases, pulmonary disease, cardiology, neurology. The surrounding area is rich with medicinal herbs such as Rhododendron adamsii Rehder/Saggan-Dali, Djen-Shen)
Day 3. Breakfast at the hotel. Check out. Transfer to Slyudyanka settlement.At 10:00 start the **Circumbaykal railway excursion by train along lake Baikal to Port Baikal (92 km). Special stops enroute are done for tourists at the most beautiful places on the railway: Staraya Angasolka, Shabartuysky bridge, Polovinaya river, "Italian" Wall, longest tunnels, viaducts and supporting walls. Arrive Port Baikal at 19:30 and cross the Angara river (2 km) by ferry-boat to Listvyanka settlement. Accommodation       
**(The railroad was named "the Golden Buckle of the Great Siberian Trail". The "Buckle" - as it connected the Trans Siberian railway divided by Baikal lake; the "Golden" - because the total value of building operations exceeded the cost of all railroads in Russia at those time. At the end of 70's the railway was recognized as the historic and architectural monument and now it is under government protection.
Within the section of 84 km from Kultuk to Port Baikal there are 424 engineering constructions and 39 tunnels, the total length of which is 8994 metres. The biggest tunnels are Katorzhny (538 m), Khabartuy (548 m), Poloviny (807 m). There are about 200 bridges and 14 km of walls that supports the railway. All these constructions were build more than 100 years ago!)
Day 4. Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure on the lakeside. You can visit the sightseeings of  Listvyanka settlement. (Baikal Ecological Museum. Its exhibitionsdisplay the examples of the lake’s unique features of flora & fauna: stuffed animals, a rich collection of minerals, different kinds of fish and other organisms inhabiting the lake.)
Day 5. Breakfast at the hotel. Check out. Transfer to Irkutsk (70 km) with visiting open-air ethnographic museum of old wooden houses Taltsy (The museum possesses a collection of unique monuments of history and architecture of Eastern Siberia dating back to XVII-XVIII centuries, some Buryats’ dwellings and shaman’s houses. “Taltsy” Museum is located at the 47th km of Baikalskiy Highway).
Transfer to the Island Olkhon up to Khuzhir settlement (270 km). You will ferry the Olkhon Gates Strait.
Day 6. Breakfast at the hotel. Whole day tour to the Khoboy Cape*** (the nothern tip of the island) with lunch. Diversity of landscapes will surround you on the way.
*** (The northern point of Olkhon island represents vertically directed marble rock plate. Khoboy is translated as 'fang' from old Buryat language and it realy looks like it. Beautiful view of endless scopes and majestic circular panorama of Baikal. Sviatoy Nos peninsula and Ushkany archipelago can be seen from the cape. Khoboi is situated near the widest point of Baikal lake - 79,5 km. One can understand why Baikal is called a sea, not a lake by the locals.)
Days 7-9. Breakfast at the hotel. Days at leisure on the Island. You can choose different places to visit.
Olkhon Island Local Lore museum is situated in Khuzir village, on the territory of the local school. There are more then 3000 valuable exhibits and finds that were collected on the island by the founder of the museum Michail Revyakin and his pupils. Among the collection there are ancient ritual adornments of shaman which were found at the supposed place of cremation, ancient yurta with authentic top priorities, chest badge belonged to Chingis-Khan warriors.
The spectacular Burkhan Cape, Stone Temple or Skala Shamanka as the local people call it is situated not far from the village of Khuzir. The cape is crowned with 'two-head' marble rock "Burkhan". There is a through cave in the small rock and ancient paintings with sanskrit sign above the entrance. For a long time the cave was a place for annual shamanic worship. This considerable historic monument is a peculiar symbol of Baikal and one of the nine holiest places in Asia.
Saraysky bayis situated between Burkhan cape and Harantsi village. The sandy beach is 3 km long and the width is about 1 km. Cosy meadows and glades surrounded by pine forest are behind the sandy banks. The bay is shallow and in summer the water is warm enough to swim.
Day 10. Breakfast at the hotel. Check out. Transfer to Irkutsk (railway station or airport). Departure.
